Terms of Service
A clear agreement between us and you: what we provide in each service, what you undertake, and who bears what. We wrote it to be read, not to be hidden.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
1. Definitions and acceptance
"Barid US" or "we": Barid US, whose operations are based in Albany, Oregon, United States. "Customer" or "you": the account holder. "Parcel": anything arriving in your name and under your code at the receiving center. "Shipment": what we send you after consolidation and packing. "Carrier": FedEx, DHL, or whoever we contract with to carry the shipment.
By opening an account or using any service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy and Refunds and Cancellations Policy, which is an integral part of this agreement.
2. The account, the US address and the customer code
- Registration is free and for those aged 18 and over, one account per person, with accurate details and a real name.
- You receive the receiving center's address in Oregon together with a customer code of your own. The code is what links a parcel to you; a parcel that arrives with no code or under a different name may be slow to log until we verify whose it is, and may be returned to the sender if that cannot be done within 30 days.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens in your account, and you must tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- The address is for receiving your personal purchases. It is not to be used as a registered legal or commercial address, nor to receive official mail, checks or cash.
3. Receiving and photographing
- We receive parcels on business days and log them under your code, usually within one business day of arrival, and you are notified.
- We photograph the contents of every parcel free of charge so you can see it before shipping. The photos are to identify the contents, not to inspect them technically; we do not guarantee that devices work or that a product matches what you ordered from the store.
- We may open a parcel to photograph it, to check for prohibited items, or at the request of customs, and this is a condition of accepting any parcel.
- A parcel that arrives damaged from the store or the domestic carrier is photographed as it arrived and we notify you; the claim against the store or its carrier is yours to make, and we help you with the photos and the details.
4. Storage and abandoned parcels
Storage is free for 30 days from the arrival of each parcel, with no limit on the number of parcels.
- After the thirtieth day a storage fee of $0.20 per parcel per dayis charged and added to the shipping invoice when you request it, and we remind you before the free period ends and after it.
- A parcel that has been here for 120 days from arrival with no shipping request, and after three notices to your email, is deemed abandoned: we may dispose of it by selling it to cover the fees due, donating it or destroying it, in accordance with the law, with no liability on us, and its value is not refunded.
- We may hold a shipment until all fees due on the account are paid.
5. Consolidation and repacking
- We consolidate your parcels into one box and repack them free of charge to reduce volumetric weight, we keep the products' original boxes wherever possible, and we may discard outer cartons and surplus filler.
- If you want a particular package kept intact, write that in the notes of the shipping request before consolidation.
- Consolidation only begins at your request, and we wait for the last parcel you specify.
6. International shipping and chargeable weight
- The services: FedEx Economy (7–9 business days), FedEx Express and DHL Express (5–7 business days). The times are estimates starting from when the shipment is handed to the carrier; they do not include customs clearance, holidays or circumstances beyond our control, and they are not a promise of a delivery date.
- The price is calculated on the Chargeable weight: the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in inches ÷ 139), rounded up to the nearest pound, as shown by the Rate Calculator.
- Prices are the same for every destination we serve, and what you see in the calculator before paying is what you pay. If the actual weight at the receiving center differs from what you entered, we tell you the difference and you approve it before it is charged.
- There is also Over-limit fee $96 for any box exceeding 100 lb volumetric or 40 inches on its longest side; it is the carrier's fee, we tell you about it before shipping, and we help you avoid it by splitting the contents.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient's name, address and phone. A shipment returned because of a wrong address or because the recipient could not be reached is charged to the customer for the return and the re-shipping.
7. Prices and payment
- All fees are in US dollars, and the riyal shown is indicative at the peg rate. Payment is made through the payment gateways on the site before shipping.
- No label is created and no shipment goes out before its invoice is paid in full, and an order is not cancelled automatically for late payment — it stays in your account until you pay it or cancel it.
- Government fees, customs and VAT in the destination country are outside our invoice and are paid by the customer to the relevant authority or to the carrier on delivery.
- We may change prices at any time, and a change applies only to new orders after it is published on the site.
8. Order It for Me (buying on your behalf)
- We buy the product on your behalf with our own US account and card from the store you specify, after you send the link and the specifications (color, size and quantity) and we send you a quote covering the product price, the store's tax if any, its domestic shipping, and the service fee, and we do not buy before you approve and pay.
- If the price rises or the product sells out before purchase, we send you an updated quote or an alternative, and you may cancel the order and get back everything you paid in full.
- Once bought, the product is yours and we are only a purchasing agent: whether the product matches the description, its warranty and its return are governed by the store's policy. We help you arrange the return or exchange with the store inside the US under its policy and its window, and whatever the store refunds reaches you after deducting what it withholds for return or shipping fees.
- We do not buy the prohibited or restricted items in clause 11, nor counterfeit products, nor anything that breaches US export law or your country's import law.
9. The Instant Shipping Label service
- For a box ready inside the United States that does not pass through the receiving center: you enter its details and pay, an official carrier label and a tracking number reach you within minutes, and the courier collects it from the address you specified.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the weight, the dimensions, the description of the contents and the packing. If the carrier measures a greater weight, the difference appears in your account and we tell you before it is charged.
- The receiving center's services (receiving, storage, photos and consolidation) do not apply to these shipments.
10. Customs, clearance documents and declared value
- We prepare the customs invoice and the contents declaration free of charge from the details you enter. You are the importer of record in the destination country, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the description and the value and for paying any duty or tax your country's customs imposes.
- The declared value must be the product's true value (as on the purchase invoice); declaring a lower value is a customs offense whose consequences you alone bear, and compensation for loss is measured against the declared value and no more.
- If customs holds, returns or destroys the shipment because of its contents or because documents were missing on your side, we do not bear the cost of the goods or the shipping fees, and any return fees are charged to the customer.
11. Prohibited and restricted items
The Prohibited items list is part of these terms. In short:
- Absolutely prohibited: weapons, their parts and ammunition; explosives and fireworks; narcotics and anything suspected of being one; cash, gold and valuable collectibles; live creatures and perishable foods; counterfeit products; and anything that breaches US export law or your country's import law.
- Restricted by carrier terms: perfumes and alcohol-based liquids, aerosols, loose lithium batteries, medicines and supplements in commercial quantities — they may need particular packing, a particular carrier, or a smaller quantity, and we tell you the solution before shipping.
- We may refuse any parcel, open it, return it to the sender or hand it to the competent authorities if we suspect it breaches the rules, and you bear any fees or fines that arise.
12. Insurance and limits of liability
- Without insurance: our liability and the carrier's for loss of or damage to a shipment is limited to $100 per shipment or its declared value, whichever is lower, which is the carriers' standard limit of compensation.
- With optional insurance ($49): confirmed loss or damage is compensated up to the declared value in the shipping request, under the carrier's terms and its maximum coverage, and it does not cover prohibited items or values declared contrary to the truth.
- In neither case does compensation cover: delay, customs duties, customs seizure or destruction, product defects from the store, damage resulting from packing you asked us to leave as it was, or any indirect loss (lost profit or opportunity).
- Our total liability to you for any service never exceeds the amount you paid us for that shipment or service, in addition to the compensation due for loss or damage under this clause.
- How to file claims and their deadlines are in the Refunds and Cancellations Policy.
13. Returns to the store
- If you want to return to the store a product that reached the receiving center, we arrange it from the receiving center inside the US under the store's policy and its window: you give us the return label from your account at the store and we hand the parcel to the carrier.
- The return arranging fee is $15 per parcel, added to your invoice when you request it, and it is far less than shipping the item out to you and then sending it back from your country at your own cost. The parcel does not have to be inside the free storage period, and the usual storage fee applies if it goes past it.
- We do not bear the return fees the store or its carrier charges, we do not guarantee the store will accept the return, and we do not return a product whose packaging was opened at your request if the store requires it to stay sealed.
14. Acceptable use
- The service may not be used for fraud, for buying with stolen cards, for impersonation, for circumventing store restrictions or export law, or for receiving parcels on someone else's behalf for a fee without our agreement.
- We may suspend the account immediately if we suspect any of this, hold the parcels until we verify, and cooperate with stores and the competent authorities.
15. Intellectual property and content
The site, its design, its texts, its calculator and its logos belong to Barid US, and may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Any review or rating you write for us grants us the right to publish it with your first name and country on the site and in its marketing materials, and you may ask us to remove it at any time.
16. Closing the account
- You may close your account at any time after shipping or returning whatever is at the receiving center and settling what is due.
- We may close an account that breaches these terms, or one inactive for more than 24 months with no parcels, after notifying you by email.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and US federal law. In any dispute we undertake first to try to settle it amicably within 30 days of being notified in writing; if that is not possible, jurisdiction lies with the courts of the State of Oregon, while you keep any rights your country's law does not allow you to waive.
18. Amendments
We may amend these terms, and we publish the amended version here with its date, and notify you by email of material changes 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after that means you accept them.
